Food Bags Distribution tent by tent, by our teams of volunteers in different areas of Gaza, especially trying to provide survival for the most needy, widows, elderly, solo women with children.

Most recently Urgent operation of distribution of Ready To Use Therapeutic Food ( RUFT) is underway in collaboration with FDC, Future Development committee in Gaza, a ground organisation that comprises volunteers, Health Workers and Doctors. The RUFT supplements were initially supplied by UNICEF which is now unable to operate due to the blockade.

The FDC, a Palestinian medical team, approached us,  requested our help to purchase the RUFT sachets and co-operate with distributing them to children in need, in co-operation with their medical teams.

The medical team is essential to check the level of malnutrition, educate the parents as to how to use the supplement ensuring the safety and effectiveness of the intervention.

This initiative is of utmost urgency due to rapid increase of severe malnutrition and death by starvation among children.

Each sachet costs $3.50. We have full background of FDC organisation including affiliation with UNICEF and OCHA. And we have run our own background check and we are satisfied with their credentials including detailed financial transparency.

AMURTEL volunteers will be present representing us at each distribution.

As per 22 August 2025 Gaza Faces Official Famine Declaration

The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) – the UN-backed global reference for food security – has officially declared a famine in Gaza City, marking the first such declaration in the Middle East. This classification has only been used four times worldwide since 2004.

The famine declaration covers Gaza Governorate (around 500,000 people), where civilians are facing catastrophic levels of hunger, malnutrition, and rising mortality. According to IPC standards, famine is declared when:

Acute malnutrition exceeds 30%,

Mortality rates surpass 2 out of every 10,000 people per day,

More than 20% of households lack sufficient food.

International agencies including UNICEF, WFP, FAO, and WHO have officeially decalred Famine,

(though everyone knows its enforced starvation)

Amurtel is carry on the support of a Children Home in Cairo with 8 orphan children ( from 2 families) all saved from the rubbles, while their parents and other siblings died under the bombing.Food, rent, transport, and medical care has been provided on a long term bases.

Amurtel is carry on the support of two new school activities in Gaza, with teachers Esraa and Mervat, with teaching materials, tables and chairs and blackboard, and even warm clothes for the winter.

Very beautiful classroom that teacher Marvat made in Gaza from a tent that was donated. Amurtel provided funds for the materials. We can do so much to help these children with just a little effort from our side!  Thanks to Wejdan also that was able to transfer the funds to start Marvat school!

Just today Hadeel managed to organize a whole PREPARATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF FOOD BAGS inside the tents of Gaza, Khan Younis area. It was an efficient and exceptional operation. Thanks to the contributions of our Italian sisters and brothers and 3 Spanish sisters.

This is from Esraa in Gaza, who run an educational activity in a shed. Amurtel was able to help with stationaries etc . Thanks to Wejdan that was able to send her the funding.

Therapeutic food for malnourished kids 

Despite the reinvasion of Israel into Gaza, and the chaotic situation, the brave team of FDC succeeded in distributing 500 units of RUTF after evaluating the needs of the children.

Due to further displacement of Palestinians in the North of Gaza and the continuous attacs on the population, the distribution of RUTF ready to use therapeutic food for malnourished kids has been delayed. Notheless, after having already purchased the whole stock of 1800 sachets, with the contribution of some Amurtel units as well as Singapore generous Donor SSBay, the first 500 sachets were able to be successfully distributed yesterday on the ground by Amurtel partner organization Future Development Committee FDC, through their team of courageous health workers.

1. Water trucks, desperately needed everywhere. Average price 300$ for 4000 litre including transport. (The price varies slightly according to locality)
2. Sister Hadeel requests 3 water trucks per week. And weekly Food packages for 100 families. Location Rafaa

Almajayda area, 6 widows with children, four families with fathers shot in knees (disabled long term or permanent) displaced famies on AlMajayda land severely restricted movement due to threat of attack by militias. 6. Deir Al Balah kitchen initiative, providing hot meals to around 500 families daily. Requires $1600 every 10 days of food supply, AMURT/EL
7. Food packages and water all 3 locations ongoing. $4000 each Distribution.

8, Two schooling activities in Egypt with over 200 children each, and 2 schooling activities inside Gaza, Khan Younis.
